Gary Olson is the broker of Big Valley Properties.
In 1993, along with partner Anna Macomber, they founded the company
in a small remodeled country house on Main Street in downtown Kelseyville.
Gary became a licensed Realtor in 1989 after working several years
in construction and related sales. He graduated from Humboldt
State University in 1975 where he met his wife, Kimberly. Moving
to Lake County in 1987, they found Lake County to be a beautiful,
natural splendor. They have made their home here the past 15
years and continue to enjoy all that Lake County life has to offer.
Professionally, Gary has served as a board member of the Clear
Lake Board of Realtors. He was elected President in 1998 and
guided the merger of the organization into the North Bay Association
of Realtors in 1999. He served as the first chapter President
of NorBar for Lake County, and continues today as a member of the
Lake County Board of Realtors. He maintains a strong commitment
to the REALTOR Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of Care,
associated with both the California Association of Realtors and
the National Association of Realtors. He served as a representative
for Lake County on the Board of Directors of the California Association
of Realtors from 1997 - 1999.
Today he remains committed to the community serving his first elected
term on the Kelseyville Unified School District Board of Trustees.
He maintains an active role in the Kelseyville Business Association
having served two years as President and serves still on the Board
of Directors. As a member of the Kelseyville Sunrise Rotary,
he also gives time to community projects.
"I have always believed that when you live in a community you have
an obligation to serve that community. As a real estate broker
I find exceptional pride and satisfaction helping people with their
real estate needs. We have always supported many youth, school,
and community projects as our way of giving back to the great people
in our town."
"We did not set out to create the biggest real estate company in
Lake County, but our goal has been and continues to be the best
real estate company in our area." |
